Each pack contains one transceiver, one probe and one shovel. There is also a list of items that need to be in your pack.
When going beyond the skifield boundaries each of your group needs to be wearing a transceiver as no-one knows who is going to be buried. Buried without a transceiver is a probable death sentence. Make sure all of your mates know how to use their transceiver. If you are buried you want them to find you fast. They need a probe to locate which way your body is lying and a shovel to dig you out. If you have been buried in a moving flow of snow, it changes to hard ice and is not possible to dig through with your hands. Hire a set but practice before you go out there.
